Parents, below is the Weekly Focus sheet for the week of August 24th. Students need to know how to spell the weekly word study pattern and the high frequency spelling words. They only need to be able to read the reading high frequency words.  We will be working on vocabulary words in class.

Welcome to 2nd Grade!

We had a great first day of school!  Today we read a story called Officer Buckle and Gloria. The students learned about the importance of rules, as well as many procedures that help keep us all safe! It was a super busy day and I am sure they are just as tired as I am!

Also, be sure to check the backpacks daily which will have their Camp Binders and, hopefully soon, their school agendas, which have been ordered and are on their way. Today, parents have the homework! Please read and sign a letter regarding my classroom procedures. Additionally, I sent home a flyer that gives instructions for signing up for my group texts. Please sign up for this if you can. I frequently send out a messages, and sometimes it may be information that is last minute, that I myself find out about, and want to notify everyone about.
